Sheffield Hallam Student’s Union (SHU) Salsa Society and RCDance have teamed up to offer a night open to everyone with a special discount for students or associates with SHU.
Every Wednesday during University term times/semesters, lessons with RCDance and the Salsa Society will start from 6:30pm. Lessons will teach crossbody Salsa with the occasional guest teachers in other styles of dance. To find out what is on offer each week please like and follow the RCDance Facebook Page.

Clare is not only Richard’s dance partner but partner in life too! Now in their 3rd year of teaching together, their passion and love for each other and for the love of dance is clear to see. Private lessons are a fantastic way to increase the rate at which you learn and are tailored to suit your needs. One to one, private lesson for a couple or small group are in demand and bookings are limited due to the demand. Charges and location depends on your requirements. We strongly advise that you wear appropriate footwear – you would find it difficult to dance in shoes/trainers that have a lot of grip on a wooden type floor and any type that could slip off easily (flip-flop/sandal). Apart from that, people generally wear what they want from casual to looking like they are ready for a good night out.
No. The beauty of all of our classes is that they are organised and structured so that people change partners frequently so that you get to dance with different people and learn individual styles and techniques. These are social dances after all so it’s a great way to meet new people and learn to dance at a quicker rate.
Not at all! Our classes are structured so that we run a class just for beginners. If you feel nervous that’s perfectly normal – once you have tried one of our classes you will hopefully realise that there was nothing to fear! If you feel like you need to know how your first class will go then please contact richard@rcdance.co.uk.

Yes. After each class, music will be played so that you can practice the moves you have just learnt or to simply dance.
No. We ask you to pay as you go – payment by cash can be made before or after you have attended the class.
